Konstantinos Kyrtis was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1974. He studied Painting, Drawing, and Sculpture at Laguna College of Art and Design (LCAD) in California, USA. He has exhibited in solo and group shows in the USA, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Greece, and Cyprus. His achievements include Best of Fine Arts at LCAD (sophomore and senior year),1st place at the Young Artist of Cyprus Award (2006), Finalist at Figurativas 10th International Competition at MEAM in Barcelona, Spain (2019), and Finalist at the Art Renewal Center, International Salon Competition, USA (2016 & 2019).
As an artist, he has been commissioned to create portraits of renowned personalities around the world, such as the 33rd President of the Belgian Senate, the Former President of the Republic of Cyprus, the Vice-President of the General Court of the European Union, the Former Chairman of the Bank of Cyprus, portrait of George Paraskevaides, Cypriot philanthropist & businessman and many others.
Konstantinos was honored to be a jury member at the prestigious art competition Figurativas 2021, which took place at MEAM, Museu Europeu d’Art Modern in Barcelona, Spain.
His work is in the permanent collections of MEAM, Museu Europeu d’Art Modern in Barcelona, the Belgian Federal Parliament’s Museum in Brussels, the State Gallery of Contemporary Art in Nicosia, the Art Collection of the Central Bank of Cyprus, the Cultural Foundation of the Bank of Cyprus, and in many private collections.
