Lia Boyiatzi is a Paris-based visual artist, she has an art studio in both Old Nicosia and Paris, and is also an art educator and cultural producer. She has presented her work widely through solo and group exhibitions, presentations and art symposiums that took place in exhibition spaces, galleries, museums and cultural halls in Cyprus and abroad, e.g. in Spain, France and Italy, and in Finland, Greece and Turkey among others.
She was born in Nicosia, Cyprus, in 1977. She studied Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts, Rome, Italy. She is a Member of E.KA.TE (Chamber of Fine Arts in Cyprus), of the groups “Artists and Artists” and “Open Studios,” where she was Chairwoman of the Board . She is a Founding Member and Board Member of the Committee of EI.K.A (Professional Artists’ Association).
In 1998 she set up “Lia’s Boyiatzi Art School,” where she teaches and promotes art education through lessons, seminars and art exhibitions, and prepares her students for their admission to Art Academies, Universities for Architecture and Superior Art and Design Schools, where many have excelled.
She is member of the committee responsible for the collection of art for the Cypriot Telecommunication Authority since 2016.
In 2011 she founded the Cultural Foundation “KAT’OIKON,” together with actor and director Sotos Stavrakis. “KAT’OIKON” is a multipurpose space aiming to promote the arts and cultural activities, where Boyiatzi has curated several art exhibitions, and created set designs and costumes for the theatre.
